Getting To & From Geneva Cornavin Station
Cornavin sits right in the heart of Geneva, a few minutes’ walk from the lake and the main shopping streets. Here is how to reach it — or leave it — on foot, by public transport, by taxi or by car.
On foot
From the station, Rue du Mont-Blanc leads straight down to the lake and the Pont du Mont-Blanc in about 5–7 minutes, through the heart of the shopping district. Most city-centre hotels are within a short walk.
Tram & bus
Cornavin is one of Geneva’s main public-transport interchanges. Tram lines 14, 15 and 18 stop at Gare Cornavin, alongside numerous TPG bus lines, departing from Place de Cornavin and Place de Montbrillant on either side of the station. Between them they reach the city centre, the lakeside, the international-organisations district and the suburbs.
Taxi & private transfer
The taxi rank is located directly outside the main entrance, on Place de Cornavin. At peak times the queue can be long — booking a private transfer in advance guarantees a car waiting when your train arrives.

By car — drop-off & parking
Two P+Rail car parks serve the station: P+Rail Genève Cornavin (831 spaces) and P+Rail Alpes Autos (237 spaces). If you are only dropping someone off, note that Cornavin is normally very busy between 17:00 and 18:00 — a pre-booked transfer avoids circling the forecourt.
